THE MODEL CONCEPT

The 27.5-meter distress cruiser BERLIN with daughter boat STEPPKE of the DGzRS is now being created with a large number of technical changes and improvements in our ship model manufacturer.

The main focus here is on an optional built-in gearless direct drive, which is designed to "bring its power into the water" with as little noise as possible.
For this possible direct drive, a considerable amount of time was required for "experimenting" and testing with different concepts, which I ultimately carried out in advance on a restored BERLIN model before it could be used for the first time in new buildings or other projects and contract model constructions.

Currently, brushless motors with a low KV number can also be used here.

Various technical improvements that were no longer implemented on the test cruiser are now being incorporated.

So the models of the BERLIN always get a modernized mast with the typical hexagonal new antenna support including LED blue light / sparkling light, which gives this type of ship a real facelift. Furthermore, a second radar device is also used, which of course can be motorized and driven.
The daughter boat lift is currently being implemented with a programmable sail winch and a modified daughter boat tub with a patented sled system can also be optionally installed for a realistic winch function.

Detailed LED-equipped SEEMATZ searchlights, IBAK searchlights and a powerful VIRGO searchlight round off the modern appearance of the deckhouse very attractively. The various light functions, which can be switched optionally via a high-quality multifunction and sound module, are quite impressive for such a compact model!

And so the daughter boat STEPPKE is now equipped with switchable lighting and blue light / sparkling light in the mast and is also operated with a LiPo battery to increase performance and reduce weight.

Upon request, including SEEMATZ or VIRGO searchlights depending on the construction, complete lighting, blue light / sparkling light, brushless drive with LiPo or LiFePo4 batteries specially developed for BERLIN possible.
